Snow Day in the Kitchen

26 Jan

OK, slush day. At least so far. But we’re expecting a bunch of the white stuff later and the kids are home from school and this minivan-rocking mom doesn’t drive in freezing precipitation. And all of that equates to about 15 hours of time to fill in the house.

Thankfully, my kids love playing in the kitchen almost as much as I do. And I know lots of you do too judging from your comments, emails, Facebook posts, and Tweets. So today, I’m recapping some of my favorite recipes that are perfect for snuggly days inside when the weather outside is icky. I’d also love to hear yours–talk to us in the comments or over on our Facebook wall
My family’s go-to snow day recipes include:

Crockpot or Not Chili

Oatmeal Bread

Pizza Quesadilla

Grandma’s Chicken and Rice

Crockpot Meatballs (And Spaghetti)

Apple Cider Cake

Sweet White Bread

Just-Like-That-Famous Tomato-Basil Soup

Double-Chocolate Brownies

Seriously The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever

Real Blondies

DIY Little Bites

Healthier Pumpkin Bread
